Warm Wax, Warm Heart

Oh, it smells so good in the studio today. I've got the beeswax warmed up and I'm ready to experiment, invent and discover.

I've been moving slowly; November came on all too quickly for my taste. I'm already planning turkey dinner while the sun is shining outdoors and we haven't had a real killing frost yet. I'm all out of sync.

Lost in the forest again. I spend half my time rattling around in the dark, searching for the path. When I am the path. I remember, I forget. If you are a person with a clear destination then I envy you. I am a wandering-in-the-fog girl; a seeker and a questioner. November.

lovely new pieces. I am so envious of your trip to Mexico, and so sorry to hear about the loss of your loving little kittie. I have been so sporadic with computer use lately and have not been keeping up on any blogs, so my apologies for the delay.

If you are going to the IEA meeting this week, I will see you then. If not, hopefully soon. We should plan a day to play with wax together or something!

this new work is beautiful and soulful, and the soft shiny yumminess of the wax makes me want to plug in my pot too...

i am the same as you, a wanderer in the fog where objects shine brightly in front of me but shape-shift constantly. it's slow for me here too...i think maybe that's what we need but it also feels odd as we're used to go-go-going...

Oh, love love love these pieces (I Love ALL of your work!!).

Yes, November and December and 2009 are here (almost) way too quickly for me too. I Love Fall and Winter but want to be able to savor it more. That being said, living in So CA where it has been 90 something the last few days, I would love to enjoy FALL. :)

Yeah, I hear you. Being a seeker is good though; I like living life that way! Love these new works too. Oh how I want to try encaustics one day.

What luscious pages you have shared with us here, dear Judy.
Aren't most artists wanderers, the keepers of the wild and free, the mystery and the answer? Outbound in some form or fashion?

I feel certain that we must be... otherwise, who would file the reports of Where The Wild Things Are?
You just stay your own course. Never mind the rest...

Judy do you know any teenagers with blogs doing art journals? I'd like to direct an 18 yr old young woman in that direction?

Your art as always brightens my screen! (and day.)

Wanderer in the fog? I like that. Count me in that category. I love the piece with the words along the line of "your secure boundaries were once unknown frontiers." If you don't mine, I'm going to borrow/steal that for a journal page. It is so positively true! - jeanne
p.s. eldete is the word verification below to post a comment. I swear I will write a story using these "words." Maybe they are actual Klingon words???

I can see a lot of warmth in both your art and your heart. The colors, the softness, and the whole thing - thank you.

wandering is not a bad thing - its stopping the search that is the bad thing - the light is always there, we just have to step into it -
